NEW CALEDONIA - Shin Gu Dojo

Christophe Cottineau, a student of Tabuchi Sensei, proud member of the Goshinkan, created a first Dojo in Noumea in 2003.
Since then Sport Chanbara activity in New Caledonia has been progressing.
The number of Dojo is steadily increasing, and the Noumean's presence on an international level is becoming more and more visible.
For instance, they were remarked at the 2008 World Championship, with Adrien Alvarez winning a silver medal in Kodachi.

Adrien recently opened a new club : the Shin Gu Dojo.

Trained by Cottineau Sensei and Tabuchi Sensei, Adrien Alvaez (2 Dan) is teaching around forty students, and can be regarded as one of the rising stars in the New Caledonian Spochan scene.

Thanks to their geographic location, the Noumeans can take part in three major international events : Asia-Oceania Championship, World Championship and Goshinkan Taikai.
In 2008, they won no less than four medals.
They also organize internal tournaments, including the New Caledonia Championship.
